Arena Rock

Arena rock is a subgenre of rock which features a polished, commercial sound designed to be performed in large arenas, often featuring anthemic, pop-informed choruses combined with hard-hitting guitar riffs. In studio recordings, arena rock will often use effects like reverb and compression to create a "larger than life" soundstage.

The roots of arena rock are at the tail end of the 1960s into the early 1970s? as established popular rock groups like The Rolling Stones? and The Who? were playing international stadium tours. [etc]
